Terms of use

Last updated 1 November 2026

These are the rules for using Cuspel. By signing up, you agree to them. They sit alongside our privacy policy, which says how we handle your data.

What Cuspel is

Cuspel lets dental clinics post cases they don't do in-house, and lets verified visiting specialists take them. Clinics can also run their day on it: patients' cards, appointments, follow-ups, bills and supplies. A clinic's patients can join to see their visits, ask for appointments and pay. Cuspel is run by Imanto, Bengaluru.

We are a platform, not a dental practice. We don't employ the specialists, treat patients, give clinical advice or take part in the payment between a clinic and a specialist. The clinic and the specialist deal with each other directly.

Who can use it

  • You must be 18 or older. A parent or guardian can join their clinic for a child, with their own details.
  • Specialists must be dentists registered with a State Dental Council in India, with a postgraduate qualification or experience in the specialty they take.
  • Clinics must be run by a registered dentist and operate lawfully.

Your account

  • Give your real name, mobile number and details, and keep them up to date.
  • One account per person. Keep access to your email safe: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
  • You can delete your account at any time, from the Me tab or on the web.

If you're a specialist

  • Your council registration must be valid and current. We check it before you can accept cases, and again if you change it. A check by us is not a guarantee of your skill or conduct.
  • You are responsible for the treatment you provide: your clinical judgement, the standard of care, and following the Dental Council's rules. We recommend professional indemnity insurance.
  • Accept only cases you can do, and turn up when you said you would. If you can't, hand the case back early.

If you're a clinic

  • Describe each case honestly, and post a fee you intend to pay.
  • Get your patient's consent before you share their case with a specialist, and for treatment by a visiting specialist. The patient stays your patient, and their records stay with you.
  • A patient's name, mobile and medical history belong on their card, which only your clinic sees. Keep them out of cases, case notes and files, which specialists see. Crop names off OPGs and other images before you add them.
  • Send your link for patients only to your own patients. Your records of them on Cuspel are yours to keep accurate, as they would be on paper, and you stay responsible for them.
  • Have the operatory, assistance and materials ready that you agreed with the specialist.
  • Pay the specialist the agreed fee once the visit is done.

If you're a patient

  • Cuspel shows you what your clinic keeps about your visits and bills. It isn't medical advice. For pain, swelling or anything urgent, call your clinic.
  • A request for a visit is only a request until your clinic books a time and it shows on your page.
  • You pay your clinic directly. Tell it through Cuspel only after you've paid, with the amount you paid.
  • Questions about your treatment or bill are between you and your clinic.

Fees and payment

The clinic and the specialist agree the fee. The clinic pays the specialist directly, by UPI or however they agree. Cuspel doesn't hold or move money, and isn't responsible if a payment goes wrong or is disputed, though we may suspend an account that doesn't pay.

Cuspel is free during the pilot. We will tell you well before that changes, and you can leave if you don't agree.

Ratings

After a visit, each side can rate the other. Keep ratings honest and about the professional experience. We may remove a rating that is false, abusive or about something else.

What you must not do

On Cuspel, don't post or share anything that:

  • belongs to someone else and you have no right to share, including another person's personal data;
  • is false or misleading, including a fake registration or someone else's identity;
  • is abusive, harassing, obscene, or harmful to children;
  • breaks any law in India, or infringes someone's copyright or trademark;
  • contains viruses or code meant to harm, or tries to get round Cuspel's security.

Don't copy data out of Cuspel in bulk, or use other users' contact details for anything except the case you share.

Suspending accounts

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these terms, for example a false registration, repeated no-shows, abuse, or not paying for visits. Where we can, we will tell you why and let you respond.

Our responsibility

Cuspel is a pilot, offered as it is. We can't promise that every case will be filled, that a specialist will be free, or that the service will never be interrupted. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for treatment outcomes, for how clinics and specialists deal with each other, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Cuspel after that, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute can't be settled by talking to us first, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka decide it.
